Now that the Amazon Fire TV Stick Basic Edition is officially available in countries like Canada, region-specific streaming services are making their way into the Fire TV appstore. This morning, CraveTV brought their streaming library to the Fire TV platform by way of their new app. The service offers a large seletion of content which includes back catalogues from both HBO and Showtime. It’s available for $7.99 per month and comes with a 30-day free trial.

Launch Crave on your device. Select any video to play or select the ‘Sign In’ button in the Account Management section. You will be presented with an activation code. If you are seeing a 5-digit code on your Apple TV, please go to crave.ca/appletv; If you are seeing a 7-digit code, please go to crave.ca/apple.

But how do you get it on the Fire TV? It says that it can’t be bought due to geographical issues. How would a VPN help if you can’t even install the app?

You have to set up your router to connect to Canadian server or IP address from VPN provider. So your fire tv will connect theough your router which is connected to VPN server in Canada

I can’t get this to work. You are suppose to go to the website cravetv.ca/firestick to enter an activation code to be able to log in, but the website doesn’t load. Anyone else having this issue?
