App Store Updates Mac
- Keep your apps up to date. Since developers are constantly improving their apps, the Mac App Store keeps track of your apps and tells you when an update is available — including OS X software updates. Update one app at a time or all of them at once, for free.
- Tap your account icon and scroll down, then choose to Update All or update apps one-by-one by tapping on the Update button next to the app you want to update. If you don’t see any available updates, that usually means all your apps are current and do not require an update.
- Now when I open App Store app, the spinning wheel to right of buttons on upper left side continues to spin with no content visible below on any tab button. Originally, I saw that 1-update was available. I read an earlier note to use Activity Monitor and kill processes related to App Store.
- For the Mac OS X it's the Apple menu Software Update. For apps download from the App Store, click Updates from the top of the App Store window. I'm hope deleting those files will help.

Use Software Update
App Store Not Showing Updates Mac
- Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu , then click Software Update to check for updates.
- If any updates are available, click the Update Now button to install them. Or click “More info” to see details about each update and select specific updates to install. You might be asked to enter your administrator password.
- When Software Update says that your Mac is up to date, the installed version of macOS and all of its apps are also up to date. That includes Safari, Music, Photos, Books, Messages, Mail, Calendar, and FaceTime.
- To automatically install future updates, including for apps that you got from the App Store, select “Automatically keep my Mac up to date.” Your Mac will notify you when updates require it to restart, so you can always choose to install those later.
